Cheek Reduction

Bobby in Davie says:  "I have really big cheeks. Is there anything I can do for that?"

Dr. Salzhauer:  There’s a part of the cheeks that has fat and people can look like chipmunks or they have fat cheeks. And that is a sign of youth. But if you want to get a more angular looking appearance, there is an operation that involves no scars on the outside of their face. They go in though your mouth, into your cheeks and take out the buckle fat pads. And it gives you a more gaunt, a more chiseled appearance. In some cases, that also needs to be augmented with a chin implant or a jaw line implant. Because some guys, they say they have fat cheeks, but what they really mean is that their jaw line isn’t very defined. And so to define the jaw line I do need to put an implant in. So the answer for Bobby is that really big cheeks can be treated. There are surgeries and operations that we do do here that can fix that.
